“Family at the Core”
At the heart of Dayna’s world is her family. As a devoted mom to three grown children, she treasures their close relationships and cherished traditions. Excitement is building for the first family wedding in November, where daughter Meredith will be married to Tyler— a milestone that has Dayna deeply involved in the planning. “My family has always come first and everything I do comes down to that,” she emphasizes, a value that influences her every decision. Recently, Dayna experienced the loss of her father, who lived a full life to age 90, which has only strengthened her appreciation for meaningful connections and relationships.
Professional Journey: From Finance Roots to Business Growth
Dayna’s path in business is driven by a genuine passion for growth and collaboration. Starting with a finance degree from St. Cloud State University, she’s built a diverse career spanning small business ownership, sales, human resources, and operations. “I have always had an interest in business,” she notes, highlighting how her experiences have shaped her love for “working in and growing a business.”
Her journey to our firm began in September 2021, when a mutual friend of John and Koren’s introduced her as she relocated to the Twin Cities to be closer to family. What sealed the deal for Dayna? “How we put our clients first, and how the team has such respect for our clients.”
Dayna is grateful for the lessons from past leaders
“I am fortunate to have learned from every leader I have worked for, and love working with and supporting teammates charged with business development and fostering client relationships.” When facing challenges, her methodical style shines: “I like to gather all the information that I can and then put the pieces together…I want to get it right the first time.”
Personality and Passions: Adaptable, Caring, and Deliberate
Dayna describes her personality in three words: adaptable, caring, and deliberate – traits that make her a joy to work with. Beyond the office, she keeps things lively with a busy social and family life, plenty of time outdoors, and is currently immersed in wedding preparations. While she doesn’t have a traditional bucket list, rather, Dayna stays open-minded: “I am always on the lookout for the next opportunity to learn or do something new in life or in business.” On hidden talents? Her daughters think she would excel as their interior decorator. Daughter Sophia muses, “We should go into the equestrian business together… she thinks I would be great at running a business.”
Anything Our Clients or Coworkers May Not Know About You?
“I enjoy playing the piano,” she reveals, “Although I don’t sing very well!”, she’d swap jobs with a professional singer for a day, and admires their natural talent. An adventurous tale? As a young girl, bluffing her way into water skiing on a lake outing—despite only being an avid snow skier —and nailing it, proving her adaptability and quick learning. “It taught me I can surprise myself!” she laughs.
Looking Ahead: Goals and Aspirations
Dayna loves the fall season in Minnesota “…a time to regroup and refresh my goals and routines.” As for the future “it’s all about stability and proximity…find a forever home that is close to my family. My son Griffin lives in Arizona. I’m sort of waiting for my kids to land somewhere permanently.” She’s excited about personal and professional growth, always energized for what’s next.
What makes our firm stand out?
“The client-centric culture and team respect that foster a rewarding, meaningful workplace. Always doing what’s right for our clients and keeping their personal needs in mind.”
